Frequently Asked Questions

What is the K Matchup Score?

A 1-10 composite combining the pitcher's K ability (50%) with the opposing lineup's K vulnerability (50%). Higher scores mean the pitcher faces a lineup prone to striking out, and has the arsenal to exploit it.

How do I use the K prop odds shown?

The Over/Under line (e.g. O 5.5) is the sportsbook's projected strikeout total. We show the best available price across all tracked books. Compare the line to the pitcher's K/9 and recent form to spot value — if a pitcher averages 8+ Ks and the line is 5.5, the over may have edge.

What stats matter most for K props?

Whiff rate (swings and misses per swing) is the strongest predictor of strikeout ability. Combined with chase rate (swings at pitches outside the zone) and put-away rate (K% with two strikes), these metrics capture a pitcher's true strikeout upside.

What is the lineup K Vulnerability Score?

A 0-100 weighted composite of the opposing batter's platoon K rate (40%), whiff rate (25%), chase rate (25%), and put-away rate (10%). Higher scores mean the batter is more likely to strike out against this pitcher's handedness.
